Hello everyone! I’m Pooja Yadav, and I'm excited to share my journey to securing a rewarding position at Nissan Motor Corporation in Japan. As a graduate from the International University of Japan, my career quest was as much about embracing the Japanese culture as it was about strategic job hunting. I dove deep into the language, progressing from N4 to N3, and applied to over 50 positions, carefully aligning my skills with the needs of companies like Robert Water and Mitsubishi. Each application and interview were a step towards understanding what companies were really looking for. 

Navigating the job market here required more than just academic excellence; it demanded cultural integration and personal adaptability. I realized the importance of starting the job hunt early and tailoring each CV to reflect how my unique experiences were not just fitting, but advantageous to potential employers. Networking was key—leveraging platforms like LinkedIn not only expanded my professional circle but also connected me with mentors and peers who provided invaluable insights and support throughout my journey. This proactive approach to building relationships was critical in steering my career in the right direction. 

Today, as I reflect on my path, I believe that perseverance, a willingness to immerse oneself in a new culture, and a robust support network are crucial for success. Learning the language and understanding the local business etiquette opened doors and helped me navigate daily interactions and professional meetings with confidence. I encourage all aspiring professionals to embrace every challenge as an opportunity for growth and to remain adaptable in their strategies.
