In May 2023, I embarked on a journey with the Japan Internship Promotion Association (JIPA) that would profoundly shape my personal and professional growth. Initially, I joined JIPA with a simple goal in mind: to gain extra activities and enhance my resume. Little did I know that this experience would become a cornerstone of my development. 

From the very beginning, the internship with JIPA felt unique. Our team was tasked with crafting the vision and mission for the newly established organization. This foundational work was both challenging and exhilarating. We collaborated closely, pooling our diverse perspectives to design a business model that would ensure JIPA's sustainability. This process honed my critical thinking skills and expanded my business acumen in ways I had never anticipated. 

As an MBA student at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), I had theoretical knowledge, but I lacked practical experience in creating a business plan. The internship provided a real-world context where I could apply and test my skills. I am deeply grateful to my teammates from GLOBIS and Kokusai, who was in Japan for a short period. Their insights and support were invaluable. 

One of the most significant influences during my internship was Sato-San, who became a mentor to me. His guidance extended beyond the internship, opening doors to new connections and opportunities. Through Sato-San, I met numerous professionals who helped boost my confidence in communicating and networking. These experiences were instrumental in my personal growth, allowing me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new challenges. 

The internship at JIPA was more than just a learning experience; it was a transformative journey that opened unexpected pathways for development. It taught me the importance of teamwork, the value of mentorship, and the power of stepping into the unknown with an open mind.  

As I continue my journey as an advisor for JIPA, I reflect on how this experience has enriched my life. It has shown me that growth often comes from the most unexpected places and that embracing new opportunities with enthusiasm and determination can lead to remarkable personal and professional development.
